The instructions tell you exactly what you and your child should do, and why you are doing it. There are sometimes suggestions of how you can extend the work or review and use previously learned work.

The worksheets are lively and colourful. They are short and deliberately uncluttered. They are set out in a particular order and designed specifically to practise a particular skill in reading, spelling or handwriting.

AL has been specially developed by Gina Brooks ( the author of the Dyslexikit Series) to address the literacy needs of the older learner (primarily 13 – 18+ year olds). This is in response to growing requests from Secondary School teachers, Specialist Teachers, parents and those working with young people in many services and institutions.
